This new 30 kilometre metro line will link with Sydney Metro Northwest at Chatswood, and then travel under Sydney Harbour, through the CBD and south west to Bankstown. The project includes major, new underground metro stations in the CBD and lower North Shore and the upgrade of the line between Sydenham and Bankstown.

Corview has provided project directorship, delivery strategy and business case management services through all stages of project development, from strategy to investment decision. In managing the scoping stage and developing the preliminary business case, Corview assisted Transport for NSW (TfNSW) achieve a funding allocation of almost $12 billion for the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project.

Scope of Work

  • Directing the planning and project development phase
  • Management of economic advisors in the preparation of an economic appraisal of the project including analysis of wider economic impacts
  • Commercial advisory and management of the assessment of delivery strategy and procurement options
  • Management of the property development strategy, assessment of development opportunities, and procurement packaging
  • Management of the financial advisors and development of project financial analysis and models
  • Project affordability assessment, management of the development of a finance and funding strategy for the project including the assessment of value capture and sharing opportunities
  • Management of the assessment of city building outcomes
  • Coordination of stakeholder engagement through the business case working group
  • Reporting on project progress to the Government Steering Committee
  • Management of the development of the final business case
